Update on Prescriptions

From the 01st September prescriptions can no longer be taken over the phone by the reception team.
You will either need to bring them down to the surgery and put it in the repeats prescription box or you can order prescriptions through System 1 Online or via NHS APP.
Thank You.

EPS4 (Electronic Prescription Service Phase 4)

The surgery we will be going live with EPS4 (Electronic Prescription Service Phase 4) on Wednesday 2nd September 2020. The NHS is â€‹phasing out green prescriptions known as FP10s with the majority of prescriptions now being processed electronically through the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).

All patients who are not eligible for dispensing will have their prescriptions sent electronically (paper prescriptions will continue to be available in special circumstances). If your prescriptions are already sent to a nominated pharmacy then there is a minimal change.

If you do not have a nominate pharmacy, your prescription will be sent electronically to the NHS Spine and you will need to collect an EPS token (this looks similar to the usual green prescription) from the practice and take this to a pharmacy of your choice who will then retrieve your prescription.

If you do not currently have a nominated pharmacy but would like to nominate one, please speak to reception. By nominating a pharmacy you will no longer need to come to the practice to collect the token you need to get your prescription.

Order Online

Please provide us with your email address, and confirm the details are correct. Should you need to reset or change your password, you can do via email regardless of the surgery being open or not.

This is our preferred method as it offers so much more for you, such as booking an apppointment, asking a question, letting us know a change of address. This service will continue to be enhaced by SystmOne. You can download an App for online access from itunes for ipads and iphones, or for android operating systems on devices, go to the Google Play Store (search for "SystmOnline") and is available to download for free for both.

Please make sure you  have some photographic identification with you when you register for this service. Your photo driving licence or passport are fine. This service is totally secure.

Other Methods

Requests for a repeat prescription can also be made by post or by coming into the surgery.

We do not accept repeat prescriptions over the telephone. If you wish to order your medication over the telephone your local pharmacy are happy to order your medication for you.

Prescriptions will usually be ready to collect after 72 hours.

If you provide a stamped address envelope we can post your prescription to you.
